Single or Not…

Valentine’s Day, the day of romance, is no longer just for the lovebirds. Galentine’s Day is for everyone. Whether you are anti valentines or just looking for the perfect excuse to enjoy a gathering with your friends, throwing a Galentine’s Day brunch is as easy as it sounds. First, gather up your friends, plan your décor, and make plenty of pretty drinks. What is a brunch without pretty drinks? Here is one of my favorite pretty pink drinks, known as the “Rose Royal”. This will definitely be a hit with your girls.

Rosé Royal

1.5 oz of rosé

. 5 oz fresh grapefruit juice

.5 oz sugar syrup (simple syrup)

3 oz of champagne

                                                                    Edible flowers

Pour the Rosé, grapefruit juice, and sugar syrup in a shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled. Pour into your coupe glass. Top with 3 oz of champagne. Decorate with edible flowers or a slice of fresh grapefruit. You can find edible flowers at you local farmer’s market or gourmet grocery store. If you want to make this drink with a silky, foamy texture, adding unpasteurized egg whites to the shaker will give the drink a luxurious foam. Unpasteurized egg whites are odorless and tasteless, so their contribution is entirely for the texture.

It wouldn’t be a complete party without some fun treats, like Champagne gummy bears. These are so easy to make and would be a cute gift idea for your friends.

Champagne Gummy Bears

 2 cups of Champagne

1 box of unflavored powder gelatin

3/4 cups of granulated sugar

Champagne Sparkling Wine Flavoring oil (optional)

5 trays of gummy bear molds

Simmer 1 cup of the champagne over medium heat (do not let it boil). Mix the gelatin and the remaining cup of champagne (you can add a few drops of the champagne flavor oil for a stronger taste). Add the sugar and the gelatin mix to the saucepan and stir well. Squeeze a small amount of the gelatin mix into each mold and refrigerate for 90 minutes.

Now that we have covered everything, you are all set to throw an amazing Galentine’s Day brunch! It doesn’t matter if you go all out or just something simple, it’s always a good time when you do it with the people you love. Until next time…

Xoxo,
